Bhanjanagar: A tragic head-on motorcycle collision occurred on Monday morning along the Sorada-Bhanjanagar main road, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and leaving three others with serious injuries.
The victims have been identified as Biranchi Bhuyan, aged 30, from Singhamardani village in Ganjam, and Prabhat Pradhan, 45, from Dihapadhal village in Nayagarh. Both were operating the motorcycles involved in the accident.
As per police reports, Prabhat and Kahnu Charan Pradhan were traveling towards Nayagarh for the Savitri Brata festival. Meanwhile, Biranchi was accompanied by Rohit Swain and Sagar Bishoyi, heading to Gudipalli. The crash took place near Lathipada on a narrow section of the road.
Biranchi was pronounced dead upon arrival at Sorada hospital, while Prabhat later died from his injuries at Bhanjanagar hospital.
